PANE NAAN VEGANO - VEGAN NAAN BREAD

As you know I love Indian cuisine and Naan bread is one of the typical traditional Indian breads, obviously revisited in a vegan and super easy way. I found a lot of elaborate recipes to do it, but I preferred to keep the ingredients to a minimum and use products easily available everywhere.

Here is my version of Naan bread.

Ingredienti:
  • 300 gr di farina manitoba o tipo 1
  • 110ml di acqua tiepida
  • 3 cucchiai di latte di soia
  • 2 cucchiai di Olio EVO
  • 6gr lievito secco
  • 2 cucchiaini di sale
  • 1 cucchiaino di zucchero integrale di canna

Ingredients:
  • ·         300 gr of manitoba or type 1 flour
  • ·         110ml of warm water
  • ·         3 tablespoons of soy milk
  • ·         2 tablespoons of EVO Oil
  • ·         6gr dry brewer’s yeast
  • ·         2 teaspoons of salt
  •       1 teaspoon of brown sugar cane

Procedimento:

Method:

Put the yeast and sugar in a bowl with warm water and leave for about 10/15 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a bowl, sift the flour and add the salt, oil and soy milk, now add the water with the dry brewer’s yeast and start kneading. It must be a smooth, homogeneous and a little sticky ball.
Put it to rest with a damp cloth in contact (to avoid it dried) for about 2 hours, it should double in size.
At this point, form balls and flatten them with your hands and let them rest for about 15 minutes so they swell a little. Now heat a lightly oiled pan and cook them on both sides for a few minutes until they are golden, I hold the lid so they are more moist.
They are excellent for accompanying every kind of juicy dish, such as my Indian stew.

Buon Appetit.

TIMBALLO INDIANO! Indian Timbale!

Hello, I know that these photos are not very inviting but trust me, this dish is a delight full of flavors and aromas that come from far away ...

Occorrente per 4 persone:
  • 280gr di riso basmati integrale
  • 1 verza
  • 2 carote
  • 1 cipolla
  • Tandori Masala (spezia che trovate tranquillamente all'Esselunga)
  • olio EVO
  • sale & pepe
  • brodo di verdure

Needed for 4:

  • 280 g basmati whole rice
  • 1 cabbage
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 onion
  • Tandori Masala
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • vegetable broth
Procedimento:

Method:

Cut the carrots into rounds rather fine and the cabbage into thin strips.
Finely chop the onion and fry with a little olive oil. Once cooked, add the vegetables and cook. Add a ladle of broth and a few teaspoons of Tandori Masala, salt and pepper, stir, cover and simmer about 30 minutes, add broth if necessary.

Meanwhile, prepare the rice.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, in a pan that can go both on the hob and in the oven toasted rice with a little extra virgin olive oil, add 6 dl of broth, do return to boil and then bake for about 17 minutes. Keep checking the level of the broth, once ready, the rice should have absorbed all but should not be dry.
Remove from oven and add a little oil to rice to separate the grains.

Place your vegetables in a baking dish and top of the rice, the ideal would be to have the ramekins from the oven to serve each diner's, but I had not and I used a unique pan (still has to be fine).
Bake at 180 degrees for 15 minutes, until the rice has formed a golden crust,

Bon Appètit

VEGAN-TIRAMISU'
